Rawad Merhi serves as Countries Officer at the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF), where he leads global collaborations with ministries of health, patient organizations, and international agencies across more than 60 countries. With over 15 years of experience in global health advocacy and project management, he specializes in healthcare diplomacy, policy development, and stakeholder engagement in the field of rare diseases and haemoglobin disorders. He has coordinated large-scale international projects and high-level conferences, demonstrating strong leadership and logistical expertise. A multilingual professional fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Greek, Rawad is passionate about improving patient access to care and advancing equitable health policies. He holds a BBA in Business Administration from Beirut University, Lebanon.
