Meet the distinguished speakers joining us to share their expertise and insights at this event.
Dr. Mohammad Albahrani
Dr. Mohammad Albahrani is a Senior Specialist Neurologist who graduated from the College of Medicine in 2011. He obtained the Kuwait Board in Neurology in 2017 and the Specialty Certificate in Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2019. In 2021, he completed a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Dementia at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He currently serves as Head of the Neurology Unit at Jahra Hospital (2025) and has been a dedicated tutor for the KIMS Kuwait Board of Neurology and Internal Medicine since 2018.
Dr. Alya'a Sadeq
Dr. Alyaa completed her medical education at Kuwait University and obtained board certification in Nuclear Medicine from the Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialization. She pursued her PEM training at Bahya Hospital in Cairo and completed a PET/CT fellowship at the University of Zurich. Her research contributions include clinical applications of several novel PET tracers. She is actively involved in the Kuwait Board of Nuclear Medicine (KBNM) program, where she serves as Head of the Scientific Committee. Dr. Alyaa is a senior nuclear medicine specialist with extensive expertise in hybrid and molecular imaging.
Dr. Zainab Ashkanani
Dr. Zainab Ashkanani is a Specialist in Nuclear Medicine at Al-Amiri Hospital, Kuwait. She holds the Kuwaiti Board of Nuclear Medicine from KIMS and completed her medical degree at the Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. Her clinical expertise covers oncologic and general nuclear medicine, with active involvement in epilepsy SPECT and PET nuclear imaging. She is a member of the SNMMI, EANM, and ASNC, and contributes to multidisciplinary teams in epilepsy and genitourinary oncology imaging. She is actively engaged in hospital quality and accreditation initiatives and regularly participates in regional and international conferences on nuclear medicine advancements.

Dr Aleksandar Janicijevic, senior specialist at Radiology Department of New Al Jahra Hospital, practicing radiologist with clinical and research expertise in neuro imaging and MRI Dr Janicijevic holds degrees of Doctor of Medicine and Specialist of Radiology from University of Belgrade, Serbia Member of the Scientific committee of Radiology Council of Kuwait Member of ESNR and ESHI
Dr. Ahmad Alenezi
Ahmad Alenezi is a clinical scientist, inventor and assistant professor at Kuwait University, Department of Radiologic Sciences, with over 13 years of academic and clinical experience. His expertise includes nuclear medicine, medical imaging, radiopharmacy, radiation protection, image analysis, quality control, and research. He holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Aberdeen, an MSc in Radiopharmaceutics and Positron Emission Chemistry from King's College London, and a BSc in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Kuwait University.
Dr. Alenezi is actively involved in teaching, research leadership, and hospital and educational accreditation, and has contributed to national professional development initiatives. He is an author and reviewer for Q1 journals, a certified radiation officer and radiopharmacist, with expertise in AI-based image analysis, and an active member of leading international nuclear medicine and molecular imaging societies.
Dr. Maimoona Siddique
Dr. Maimoona Siddique is an imaging specialist, dual board certified in Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Radiology. She has expertise in hybrid nuclear imaging including SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MR, with a particular interest in oncology, head & Neck and neuroimaging. She also holds multiple certifications, including FRCR (Royal College of Radiologists, UK), FEBNM (European Board of Nuclear Medicine), FANMB (Asian board of NM), Nuclear Cardiology (Diplomate CBNC) and a certified clinical densitometrist (CCD). Dr. Siddique is currently practicing as a Senior Specialist in Nuclear Medicine at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Jahra Hospital in Kuwait.
