Welcome To DMD

The webinar series aims to review the published standards of care for patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). With improved patient survival and using recent management options, we aim to shift patient care to more anticipatory diagnostic and therapeutic strategies and to standardise care approaches for all patients with DMD in Kuwait. The purpose of this is to improve quality of life for patients with DMD and their carers, to diagnose and intervene early through regular surveillance with a multidisciplinary team, and to facilitate a smooth transition of care from paediatric to adult services.

Each webinar will cover a standard of care in a particular speciality and will serve as an awareness and educational lecture for physicians within that respective specialty. We aim to spark interest amongst all specialities to form multidisciplinary DMD care teams across Kuwait.
