Dear Colleagues 

On behalf of the of Conference Committees, I’m honoured to invite you to the 1^st Ibn Sina Hospital Antimicrobial Stewardship (ISHAS) Conference  which is organized in collaboration with Kuwait Pharmaceutical Association between 6^th & 7^th May 2023 at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and organized by Quote Hub co. for arranging medical conferences and events.  We are delighted to bring in a special group of International, Regional, and Local experts in the fields of Infectious Diseases, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Pharmacology, and Infection Control to conduct our scientific activities targeted to all healthcare providers.

The 1^st ISHAS Conference is discussing one of the major threats to Human Health of our time as stated by the World Health Organization (WHO) which is the emergence of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) around the globe to alarming levels, with estimations of 10 million death/year by the year 2050.  As such, Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) has emerged to describe activities and interventions that aim to guide more appropriate use of antimicrobial agents, and hence, reducing AMR and optimizing patients’ outcomes.

The 1^st ISHAS Conference is perfectly sized to provide a concise content from all Antimicrobial Stewardship aspects including the Core Elements Of Antimicrobial Stewardship, Antimicrobial Therapy & Resistance, Advances in Laboratory Diagnostics, and Infection Prevention & Control.  In addition, the accompanied workshops will cover important areas including generating accurate Surveillance & Antibiogram Data using WHOnet software and Designing Antimicrobial Stewardship & Outpatient Parenteral Therapy (OPAT) Programmes.
